Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tendwell (“Tendwell,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our missed-call text-back service (the “Service”).
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, business name, email, password, and the cell number where you receive leads.
- Business settings — your text-back message, booking link, and any business info you add.
- Call & message records— when your business misses a call, we process the caller's phone number and the text messages exchanged, so we can text them back and show you the lead.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
How we use information
To provide the Service (texting back missed callers, capturing leads, and showing them in your dashboard), to process your subscription, to support you, and to improve and secure the Service. We do not sell your personal information.
SMS / text messaging
When a caller is texted back through the Service, message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies based on the conversation. Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help. We never ask recipients for health, medical, or other sensitive personal information. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, and we do not sell mobile information. The business using Tendwell is responsible for obtaining the consent required to message its own customers.
Our role (businesses and their customers)
For your account data, Tendwell is the controller. For the customer/caller data a business processes through the Service (e.g., the people it texts), the business is the controller and Tendwell acts only as a service provider / processorthat handles that data on the business's behalf and at its direction. We do not sell that data or use it for our own marketing.
Service providers
We share data only with vendors that help us run the Service, under agreements that protect it: Twilio (telephony & SMS), Stripe (payments), and Supabase(database & authentication). These providers process data on our behalf.
Data retention & security
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls), though no method is 100% secure.
Your choices
You can access or update your information in your dashboard, request deletion of your account, and opt out of texts by replying STOP. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR.
California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law. California residents may request to know, access, correct, or delete their personal information, and will not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. To make a request, email support@tendwellsms.com or use the export/delete tools in your dashboard. If you are a caller/customer of a business that uses Tendwell, please direct your request to that business; we will assist them as their service provider.
Children's privacy
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be posted here. Questions? Email support@tendwellsms.com.
